Illustrating this children’s book for local author Eve Failor was an absolute dream! I’ve always loved bringing stories to life through illustration, experimenting with color, and learning new things about our world — and this project combined all those joys in the most wonderful way.
Little Cove tells the story of a young girl sharing her magical day at her happy place with her family. It’s a heartfelt tale about her connection to nature and the many wonders she discovers along the way.
To kick off the project, Eve and I spent a day exploring Little Cove together— a real beach nestled in Noosa, Queensland, Australia — along with our families. Immersing myself in this beautiful location was such an inspiring experience, and it became the perfect foundation for bringing the illustrations to life.
